Our focus  this year  will be on documentary filmmaking.  We will complete and debut a documentary highlighting the poultry project.  The planning and compilation of material will occur at the meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month at the county extension office from 12:30-2pm.  Members are strongly encouraged to come to these meetings; however, they are not mandatory.  Most of the work on the film will be done outside the Sunday meetings.  I can send notes to those who are not there.

Members will be grouped according to their interests and preferences.  Jobs will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.  Not everyone can film the final cut, but everyone can learn to film.  I will try to accommodate everyone's interests but can't guarantee that everyone will get to do everything they want.  After planning the project on the 18th, we will divide into groups to start the process. Those who focus on editing will obviously have to wait until filming has taken place.  However, they can start to work with various editing software in order to see how it works.  We will try to use all free and open format software and will share via the Internet.

The other main portion of the project will be constructing a Steadicam. I hope to do this in November so they can use it to film some action.

Saturday workshops

Workshops will be held most 1st Saturday's.  I know we will have ones on animation, stop motion, visual and special effects.  Stop motion will be the topic of the first workshop on the October 1st.  If you have an interest in a particular area not listed, please let me know.
